Santiago (Victoria cello lessons)

Santiago is a dedicated cellist and experienced teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience, currently pursuing a Master's in Baroque Cello at the Royal Academy of Music, following his Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
He currently teaches cello at SWS Music School in London and has previously taught at the Monteverdi Conservatory and Inspirartem School. As a performer, Santiago served as principal cellist of the early music group Ars Combinatoria for over two years, recording J.S. Bach's "St. John Passion" and premiering contemporary works by composers including Carlos Satué and Félix Ibarrondo. He is an active member of the Lowe Ensemble and has contributed to recordings and soundtracks including La entrega.
Santiago has attended numerous Early Music courses at the University of Salamanca, studying with professors like Hiro Kurosaki, Itxiar Atutxa, Pedro Gandía, and Andoni Mercero, and has taken masterclasses with Suzana Stefanovic and Aldo Mata. He is the recipient of a Leverhulme Trust Arts Scholarship for 2024/25.
Santiago teaches the cello from beginner to diploma level.
